Course Description

This course will show you how to deploy, build and use Ethereum networks in the AWS cloud. This course, Deploying Ethereum using AWS Blockchain Templates, will show you how to use Cloud Formation templates on AWS and Docker containers to build Ethereum networks that can run smart contracts. You'll first learn about Ethereum's ability build blockchains, transaction lifecycles, miners and the proof-of work consensus algorithm. Next, you will discover concepts like gas and ether on Ethereum network networks. Next, you will learn how to configure security groups and connect to the network using a bastion host. Next, you'll use AWS Blockchain Templates to quickly bring up an Ethereum network on AWS cloud. You will also learn how to connect to this network via a Metamask Client. You'll also learn how to write Solidity smart contracts for a land registry with the Remix IDE, execute transactions on your Ethereum network, and use Explorer to observe it. This course will give you a solid understanding of AWS and how to create your own Ethereum blockchain networks. You'll also be able to write smart contracts that update your blockchain.

What You Will Learn

You will learn how you can use Cloud Formation templates on AWS with Docker containers to quickly build Ethereum networks for running smart contracts

First, you'll discover Ethereum's ability to build blockchains, the transaction lifecycle, miners, the proof-of-work consensus algorithm and concepts such as gas and ether on Ethereum networks

Next, you'll discover the basic structure of an Ethereum blockchain network on AWS by configuring security groups and the bastion host to connect to our network

Then, use AWS blockchain templates to quickly bring up and Ethereum network on the AWS cloud and how you can connect to this network using a Metamask client
