Course Description

Docker Hub plays a crucial role in the success of Docker as it simplifies image distribution. However, as users begin to create their own images, storing them on Docker Hub becomes challenging. This course aims to address this issue by teaching participants how to deploy their own registry. By setting up their own registry, users gain control over image distribution and can securely store sensitive images. Moreover, co-locating the registry improves performance, saves bandwidth, and allows for mirroring of Docker Hub images. Throughout the course, participants will gain insight into the inner workings of a registry and learn how to secure it. By the end of the course, users will be equipped with the knowledge to establish their own self-hosted registry, unlocking a range of benefits for their Docker workflow.
