Course Description

Smart devices are increasingly used to overcome obstacles in daily life as the world becomes increasingly connected. What happens when IoT technology is used to solve global-scale issues like sustainability?

This course is two weeks long and will cover the basics of the Internet of Things (IoT) as well as how to use it to solve different sustainability problems that we are currently facing.

The Mind Lab and Tech Futures Lab will guide you through case studies that show how IoT can be used to support sustainable decision-making. You'll learn how technology can be used to create a brighter future by looking at examples from smart cities and transport.

The IoT's technological and business foundations will be explained to you, including the frameworks of strategy and competitive environment as well as the user value proposition.

You will learn how IoT can help you in your own contexts by engaging in learning activities that are connected to the environment framework.

Finally, we'll show you how IoT can be partnered with other technologies in order to address sustainability issues.

Artificial intelligence, machine learning and 5G will all be covered. You will also examine case studies from key industries to see IoT solutions in action.
