Course Description

Learn and improve your machine learning skills

Artificial intelligence (AI), systems that are trained with machine learning (ML), are increasingly being used in a variety of applications, including self-driving cars and determining an individual's age. What is AI and what does machine-learning actually entail?

This course, which lasts four weeks, is offered by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. You'll learn about machine learning and how to use online tools for training your own AI models.

We'll discuss the many problems machine learning can solve, how AI is changing the world and consider the ethics of collecting data for machine learning models.

Learn about the various types of machine-learning

This course's first week will show you how to use machine learning to classify data. It will also help you to determine if a comment has a positive or negative meaning, or identify the contents of images.

Next, you will learn about machine learning algorithms which create models that give numerical outputs. For example, predicting house prices using information about the house's surroundings.

Machine learning is also explored in depth. These types of machine learning are used to find connections and groupings of data that humans might not see. This will give you a better understanding of machine learning.

Develop and train your AI using tools

This course will also explore the various ways machine learning works.

We will compare supervised learning which uses data that is labelled with the desired outcome to unsupervised learning where the goal of machine learning is to find new connections.

The final week of this course will be spent investigating neural networks, a type of machine-learning inspired by the brain structure that is used in many state-of the-art AI systems like YOTI’s age determination algorithm.
