Course Description

This course, Java Application Development using Tomcat, is designed for individuals who want to create Java web applications. Tomcat, the most popular Java web application platform, is recommended for this purpose. The course provides foundational knowledge on creating Java web apps for Tomcat. It covers topics such as HTTP1.1 and how Tomcat, the Servlet API, custom servlet creation, and packaging and deployment of web apps in WAR files process it. By the end of the course, participants will have acquired the necessary skills to develop Java web applications using Tomcat. The software requirements for this course include Tomcat 9, Windows 10, Linux or macOS, and a text editor.
