These IT jobs are highly sought after, especially in non-tech industries like professional services, manufacturing and financial services. IT positions in these sectors are also more easily accessible, making them excellent career paths entry points.

You can improve your information technology (IT), skills by completing the Western Governors University–[tm]s (WGU] MicroBachelors Introduction To Information Technology program certificate. This program is for IT professionals, educators, and business professionals. It introduces IT infrastructure concepts to help with the management and operation of an enterprise environment.

You will be able to engage in real-world career opportunities as part of the MicroBachelors certificate program. This will help you understand IT as a discipline. Learn about the various roles and functions of the IT department and the fundamentals of security and networking concepts. You'll also learn programming elements like variables, data types and flow control.

This MicroBachelors certificate will give you the knowledge and skills to be able to pursue a wide range of IT careers. You can then build on your program certificate and apply to any of the many undergraduate IT degree programs at Western Governor's University.
