Course Description

Organisations need to think about global connectivity. Whom they connect with, what data they have and who can access it. This also comes with risk. This short course will teach you how to evaluate network risk and create secure networks.

Network defence managers must be able assess network risks, manage them effectively and recognize that not all options can be negotiable.

This course will help you understand the requirements of network defense management and what they require. This covers both the organisational and physical factors such as budget, risk, response, and connectivity.

This course focuses on setting up network environments that generate large amounts of security events, log data, and network traffic via firewalls, routers, servers, and anti-malware software.

The second week will give you the chance to put your learning into context. You'll be able to look at four case studies from different councils and compare it to your own.
