Introduction

What is Azure API Management?

Azure API Management provides a single platform for managing APIs in all environments.

Azure API Management Platform is composed of an API gateway and a management plan. It also includes a developer portal.

This lab focuses primarily on API gateway.

When a request is created from the client's end, it gets sent to the API gateway.

The API gateway receives API calls and routes them to backend services.

This is the first interaction that takes place before the request is sent to the backend services.
