Applied Artificial Intelligence: Speech Recognition Systems

This course is part of the Advanced and Applied AI in Microsoft Azure Expert Track, designed to develop AI and machine learning skills and prepare students for Microsoft microcredentials. The course focuses on Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and its components. Students will learn how sounds are captured by sensors and converted into numerical data, as well as how ASR systems convert this data into textual representations of spoken words. The course covers both the theory and practical aspects of speech recognition, including identifying and fixing design problems. Through hands-on exercises, students will build different function blocks of a speech recognition system using Python code. By the end of the course, they will be able to create a speech recognition system from scratch, which can be a valuable tool for data science activities. The course is accredited by Microsoft.
