Course Description

This VR tutorial will show you how to model a difficult game asset in virtual reality. Although the majority of the work is similar to modeling for other platforms and applications, VR modeling presents some unique challenges. First, we'll learn how to create a production standard that will ensure our asset is scaled properly. Next, we will dive into creating the asset from start-to-finish. We'll discuss what is important for game mesh construction, UVs layout, and texturing. The final step will be to test our game asset in a simple VR setting. This VR training will give you a solid understanding about the challenges that you'll face when creating assets for your VR projects. Software requirements: Substance Painter 1.5, Unity, 3ds Max 2016.
