Course Description

Welcome to the course Industrial Internet of Things (IoT), on Google Cloud. This course covers all aspects of the Industrial IoT network architecture, from devices and sensors to analysis. While the course covers sensors and devices, the main focus of the course is on cloud. Learn about scaling, device communication, streaming data processing, and the importance of these topics. Simulated devices are used in the labs so that you can focus on the cloud side. Because there is not much video, the course is different from other Google Cloud courses. The learning process consists mainly of short readings, quizzes, exercises, and labs. The course is approximately 11-12 hours long with six hours spent in labs. This course will teach you how to create a streaming data pipeline, Cloud IoT Core registries, topics and subscriptions, Google Cloud Storage data storage, query BigQuery and Dataprep data insights. These skills will be taught and practiced in hands-on labs.
