Course Description

This course focuses on the study of venture capital and private equity. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how a venture capital investor can help a company get financial support through its development and creation.

This course will show you how private equity investors (or special financial intermediaries) can finance equity companies at different phases of their lives-cycle. It covers everything from the beginning (startup or early stage) all the way through to more advanced (e.g. expansion, mature age, etc.) Or, you can also stay in crises or decline.

Venture capital is the name given to a company's first phase of life. Private equity deals with a variety of activities such as deal-making and valuation.
