Buffer's 2018 survey of businesses found that only 29% had social media marketing programs that were effective. Tomoson's recent survey of consumers found that 92% of them trust recommendations from others over brand content. 70% also trust consumer reviews as their second most trusted source. 47% read blogs written by experts and influencers to find new trends and 35% use blogs to find new products and services. 20% of social media users were also influenced by bloggers they know. Social media is used by both consumers and businesses today to make purchase decisions.

This Specialization was created in 2014. It is updated each quarter to ensure that you receive the most current training. The Social Media Marketing Specialization is designed for two purposes. It provides you with the tools and training to become a social media influencer. You will also learn the skills and resources needed to create a complete social media strategy, from consumer insights to final justification metrics.
