Course Description

This course may be the shortest of our eight-course VMware Horizon learning path. This is not to say that vRealize Operation isn't important. Monitoring a complex environment that has dozens of moving parts, is arguably the most important task after Horizon's components have been assembled and VMs are provisioned to users. This task can be left to another solution, vRealize Opera Manager or vROPS. We assume that you are already monitoring your hypervisors as well as vCenter Servers. This course will show you how to integrate the vRealize Opera infrastructure with the Horizon View components that we have built. Install the broker agent on your connection server and create a vRealize Operations Horizon adapter. You will then be able to quickly review the new dashboards, reports, and other information that vROPS offers to help you understand the deepest behavior of your VDI environment.

Learning path on VMware Horizon

That is by no means to presume that vRealize Operations is the least important

Rather, monitoring a complex environment with dozens of moving parts is arguably your most-important task once Horizon's components are assembled and VMs get provisioned to users

That task is best left to another solution in vRealize Operations Manager or vROPS, which we assume here is already monitoring your hypervisors and vCenter Servers

In this course, you'll explore the discrete tasks in integrating that already-existing vRealize Operations infrastructure into the Horizon View components we've built so far

You'll install the necessary broker agent on your connection server, create a vRealize Operations for Horizon adapter, and you'll leave with a quick-and-dirty overview of the new dashboards and reports vROPS now offers to dig into your VDI environment's d
