The Astrophysics Series Program is made up of four courses that are foundational in astrophysics and taught by some of the most respected leaders in the field, including Nobel Prize Winners. Brian Schmidt, who was part of the team that discovered dark-energy – in 2011, will instruct you. Paul Francis, a prize-winning scientist communicator, educator and astrophysics researcher, will guide you on an amazing journey through the mysteries of the universe, supernovae and exoplanets. Astrophysics and astronomy are the study of all things beyond Earth. Astronomers can work at observatories or universities. You can learn a variety of math, engineering, computation skills that are highly sought-after in many occupations by studying astronomy. The XSeries Program is ideal for individuals interested in astronomy or astrophysics, as well as those who are just starting their studies.
