"Welcome to Introduction to Numerical Mathematics. This course is intended to provide you with a part of the mathematical foundations required to work in computer science, in any of its branches, including business, visual digital arts, music and games. You will need numerical and computational tools at every stage of problem solving and modeling. You will learn about binary and other numbers bases and how to use coordinates to represent space. We also show you how to analyze variations of quantities using functions and graphs. We have prepared computing and everyday problems that you can solve with these tools. These include sending secret messages or designing computer graphics.
