Course Description

This course will help you to conduct good analysis, apply data to business decisions, and explore the more advanced topics in the Business Intelligence and Data Analysis program, such as machine algorithms.

Statistics fundamentals introduces you to the concepts and methods required to interpret the results of a statistical test. We will overview the two branches of statistics-descriptive statistics and inferential statistics--and run hypothesis tests on real and simulated data sets using Excel's Data Analysis ToolPak. We will also be examining key concepts such as the Central Limit Theorem and Empirical Rule.
