Course Description

This series of lessons will focus on InDesign's Data Merge capabilities. The first step is to learn how to break down a project and create a design that uses variable data. We'll then move on to Microsoft Excel to learn how to create and save InDesign data source files. Next, we will walk you through how to set up data merging according to your exact needs. This includes both image-based and text data. We'll also learn how to create our InDesign target file, so we can plan for a file source that will change. Software required: InDesign CS5, Microsoft Excel 2002.
