Course Description

API Economy users want to connect and analyze more of their business data. This is true for all sizes, from startups to large corporations. Do you think about making data accessible through an API? There are many ways to solve the problem. How can pagination be implemented? What data model is most appropriate? Which level of authentication is appropriate to make sure that the data model is both secure and usable? Stitch's teams have reviewed and built over 100 data integrations in Python to support the Singer project. Many of these integrate with APIs. They have also had some bad experiences. Dan Mosora, a conference speaker, will discuss these lessons from APIs in the wild. He will also cover the challenges Stitch faced when integrating an API for ETL purposes. Finally, he'll highlight the characteristics that make APIs a joy to use.
