Introduction to Firewall Rules

Lab Details:

This lab will walk you through the VPC Firewall rules.

You will create a Rule to allow traffic to enter.

You will create a Rule to allow Ingress traffic.

What is a Firewall?

A firewall is a layer in Security that controls network security. It can control both incoming and outgoing traffic. A firewall is implicitly denied by default. All you have to do is open the ports you need.

Each rule can be either Egress or Ingress.

You can either allow or deny connections by using firewall rules.

Traffic can be allowed from the internet or from within your network.
