Since their introduction at Intel by the legendary Chief Executive Officer Andy Grove in the 1970s OKRs have facilitated the growth of some of the most innovative companies in the world. John Doerr learned the method from Grove while working at Intel and was famously a teacher to the founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Google which was one of his most memorable investments. Doerr continues to refine the method and then passes it on to the investors of his investment portfolio businesses in Kleiner Perkins, where he is chairman. This is the first time he's put together his vast experience and expertise into a single program of education. The course is taught with the help of John Doerr and Kleiner Perkins technical advisor Ryan Panchadsaram, former Deputy Chief Technology Officer for the United States.
