This class, Continuous line Floral Layout in Procreate, continues my Procreate skills instruction. I delve deeply into the worlds of simple continuous lines art. We will be using contour drawing to describe the continuous line. In this class we will try to let go of our urges to create perfect flowers. You should be able to work intuitively and loosely. We will try many different techniques in the hope of finding the best one for you.
Once we have mastered the line art, we can move on to creating loose watercolours that add color. This is also done spontaneously. I will show you how to use different brushes, which I also provide in the class resources section.
I provide a complete illustration and show you how to make it a greeting card. I also include a step-by-step guide for creating a mockup (also provided).
This class will walk you through:
- My step-by-step methodical process for making continuos lines art flowers
- Tips for creating compositions that are appealing and varied
- My workflow for layering and other great features such as snapping
- Watercolour background created in full
You don't need to know Procreate if you are an aspiring designer. Anyone who wants to make wall art or greeting cards more efficient and proficient will benefit from this class. You will be able to upload your artwork to a POD site by the end of this class.
I will include the key concepts
- Review of my brush alterations.
- Take a look at Procreate brushes with all their idiosyncrasies
- There are many approaches that you can use in your creative work
This class is ideal for you even if it is not clear what you will use the art for. It can be used for POD sites such as Society6, greeting card POD production companies such Cardisle, scrapbooking papers, or any other personal use. It is always a pleasure to learn new Procreate workflows. You will be able to create something truly appealing once you master it.
