Course Description

How can we make micro-aerial vehicles that can operate independently in messy indoor and outdoor environments? This course will provide an overview of the mechanics of flight as well as the design of quadrotor flying robotics. You will also be able develop dynamic models and controllers and create planners to operate in three-dimensional environments. The challenges of using noisy sensors to localize and maneuver in complex, three-dimensional environments will be presented. You will also be able to see real-world examples of the potential applications and challenges facing the rapidly growing drone industry.
