Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad is a deemed to be university established in the year 1999. The university is recognized by AICTE and is stated as the 'Institute of National Importance' by the Government of India. The university campus is spread over an area of 100 acres with all the required facilities and amenities. The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad has been ranked 87th among engineering institutions with an overall score of 40.28 by NIRF in 2021. In 2020, the institute was ranked 103rd in NIRF engineering rankings.
Indian Institute of Information technology Allahabad is recognized as one of the oldest institutes of information technology that is funded and managed by the state government and MHRD. The campus supports various programs, and for that, they have various laboratories and research rooms. The labs are a major part of the academic programs as it helps the students to learn their subjects with hands-on practical knowledge as well. There are various labs like a multimedia lab, language lab, microprocessor lab, computer lab, human-computer interaction lab, information security lab, bioinformatics lab, an Image processing lab, research, and development lab, etc.
