Executive coordinators are responsible for providing comprehensive organizational and administrative support to an executive or executives within their organization. Their day-to-day responsibilities may include managing schedules and meetings, answering phones, responding to emails, taking meeting minutes, and identifying and prioritizing items for attention. Additionally, executive coordinators are responsible for building and maintaining good working relationships with other staff members, as they generally serve as an intermediary between management and administrative staff.These professionals may also be in charge of assisting human resources in the design, production, and distribution of printed materials for compliance training, new employee orientation, and various other meetings and events. They are also responsible for managing small projects and conducting research for executive team upon request. Other tasks they may perform include maintaining company social media accounts, helping revise standard operating procedures, and providing logistical support related to executives' schedules and executive accounts. Executive coordinators also perform administrative support tasks such as filing, ordering supplies, and scheduling travel.Executive coordinator positions generally require at least a bachelor's degree, as well as three to five years of relevant experience working directly under senior management.
