Creating Narrative Illustrations in Illustrator

Many artists think Illustrator is only for logos. This is not true. We'll show you how to create powerful, high-quality illustrations right within Illustrator. We will be using several methods to quickly create custom shapes, including the pencil tool, the pen tool, and the blobbrush, while creating this illustration. We will learn how to use Photoshop's brush engine in Illustrator to create noise and structure. You will also learn how to include transparency, blend modes and gradients in your illustrations. This Illustrator tutorial will help you to understand the tools and techniques of Illustrator as well as my process for creating strong narrative illustrations all within Adobe Illustrator. Software required: Illustrator CS6, Photoshop CS6.
