Course Description

It is an exciting task to manage a business in the food or beverage industry. It's easy to see how the job quickly gets complicated.

This course has two objectives. First, it will address current challenges facing entrepreneurs and managers in the food and beverage industry. Second, it will give models and tools for designing and implementing appropriate actions to please customers and gain an edge over their competition.

The course consists of four modules plus an introduction. Each module focuses on a specific problem that food and drink companies are facing. A series of videos lectures will be shown and guests speakers provided. The lectures provide an easy introduction to specific subjects, as well as interviews with managers and experts. These will offer valuable insights and examples for the participants.

We will provide a documentary on the Excellences in the Modena District to enhance your learning experience. This is a course that we designed specifically to allow you to see the area as students on campus.

Every module comes with a weekly quiz to assess the knowledge and reflect on the diversity of F&B, the complexity of it, and the strength of the community we'll build during the course.

A course certificate is only issued if you have successfully completed the quizzes, as described in the Grading Policy.
