IIT Jodhpur operates from its sprawling permanent campus of 852 acres located on National Highway 65 north-northwest towards Nagaur. This campus was meticulously planned to be a symbol for academics, simple but profound.

The Institute believes in a multidisciplinary approach to technology development. It has therefore established state-of the-art laboratories for basic research and organized its academic degree activities through Departments. The Institute also coordinates its research through Centers for Technologies.
