Established in 1969, JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad was formerly known as YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad erstwhile YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad. The university was established as a joint venture between the National Council of YMCAs of India, the Government of Haryana, and the Central Agencies for Development Aid, Bonn, Germany. JC Bose University Faridabad is accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) with a grade of ‘A’. The university is recognised by UGC Act 1956 u/s 22 to confer degrees. As per the NIRF Ranking for the year 2021, the institute has been ranked 127 in the engineering category whereas it was ranked 120 in the NIRF Ranking 2020 in the engineering category.
The university has 14 departments some of which are the Department of Computer Engineering, Department of Computer Applications, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Mathematics etc. There are eight colleges affiliated to J.C Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA Faridabad.
