Course Description

This course on healthcare ethics provides a practical introduction to ethics and helps develop the reasoning skills necessary for addressing ethical questions. The course focuses on the ethics of prenatal screening for disabled children, such as Down Syndrome or deafness. It also covers bioethics and the development of medical technology for use in healthcare services. The course can be enrolled at any time, but there are facilitated periods throughout the year where students can interact with teachers and ask questions. The next facilitated period will last for four weeks. Outside of these times, support may be limited. However, throughout the course, students have access to comments and learning materials from fellow students and teachers, allowing for interaction and discussion. This course is ideal for healthcare professionals and patients who need to consider ethics in their practice. It provides a comprehensive understanding of medical ethics and bioethics in the context of healthcare services.
