We start with Digital Design theory. We discuss how to create compelling social media posts, web layouts, and other topics.
Next, we tackle several popular digital design projects like creating thumbnails for YouTube that encourage users to click through. We also create a whole social media campaign and discuss how to design for instagram and facebook. We also discuss creating display ads for websites, so you can expand your skills to create all kinds of digital ads.
Want to learn how to create animated GIFs using Photoshop's Timeline feature? We will use our previous campaign to create an animated display ad and add animation and movement. We will also learn how we can create GIFS using imported video clips.
Do you want to learn how to design a captivating e-book cover. This workshop will teach you how to design e-book covers. We will discuss exporting, sizing and how to make a design that grabs attention. We will show you how to create handwritten type and import it into photoshop for your e-book. You will also learn how to use other sketching apps to add handwritten assets. To display our final design, we also create a mock-up.
A new project explains how to create hand-drawn assets in procreate and other sketching apps, and how to import them into Photoshop to create dynamic campaigns with style and flair.
Do you like to draw or illustrate? I created a step-by-step project that allows us to digitize a pencil sketch using Adobe Illustrators Pen Tool. It is important to learn how to digitize sketches to expand your digital skills.
Digital design projects should have icons at their core. Icons can be used in websites, mobile apps, and applications. We will create a complete icon set using the provided template. We will be able to create a thematic icon set using grids. Additionally, we will be able to add color and export our icons in all the correct sizes.
After creating a basic icon set, we move on to create an intricate Apple store icon. We will learn many tools, including how to use gradients to create depth and the pattern tool. These files can be exported to the apple store. We also learn how to present our icon professionally.
It is difficult to teach digital design to graphic designers without a few sections that are focused on web design. We will learn about our role as graphic designers in this area and how to prepare and export files to support web design projects.
In a short crash course, we will learn Adobe Xd from scratch. Through creating a landing page, we will learn how to create strong web design and layout. We will also learn how to link the pages together to create a working prototype.
We will finally be able to design a basic website for a travel company using Wordpress. We will be able to use the popular Wordpress page building plug-in called Elementor to build our website using video backgrounds, parallax images and icons, columns animated text, and many other features. This course does not require any purchase of Elementor.
There are tons of downloadable resources, including templates for most projects. This includes Photoshop ebook, YouTube and social media templates, as well as an icon set and template for the Adobe Illustrator app store.
Although this course is not suitable for beginners in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, it is sufficient for all graphic designers who are looking to improve their skills. To get an introduction to Adobe software, I recommend the Graphic Design Masterclass.
This course assumes that you have a basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Tools like Wordpress, Adobe Xd and Elementor page builders, as well as other tools, are taught from scratch.
