What is Art Direction?

Learn all about art direction while creating a movie poster.

This class will help you define art director, find out where art directors work, and distinguish between graphic design and art direction. We will create a movie poster to illustrate this concept. The first step is to think about the message we want to convey. Next, we will create an idea that reflects this. We will review some examples and begin sketching our poster. We'll discuss composition and the fundamental elements of a poster while we do this: image, typography and color.
