National Institute of Meghalaya (NIT Meghalaya) is one of the renowned NITs in India established under the NIT Act 2007. It is a government university that receives full financial support from the Ministry of HRD, India. The university reocgnised as an 'Institute of National Importance' by government of India. The campus of the university is spread over an area of 300 acres and it has a total of 80 faculty members. NIT Meghalaya has been ranked 59th in the NIRF Rankings of 2021 in the engineering category.
