Course Description

This course is part of the Google Project Management Certificate Program. This course will cover the history, philosophy, and approach of Agile project management, as well as the Scrum framework. This course will teach you how to blend Agile with other methods of project management. You will gain knowledge about Scrum as you move through the course. Learn how to manage and refine product backlogs, define and implement Agile's value-driven delivery strategy, and create a value roadmap. Additionally, you will learn how to organize five key Scrum events, bring an Agile or Scrum approach into an organization, and coach an Agile group. You will also learn how to find and land Agile positions. The current Google project managers will continue their instruction and provide the tools and resources necessary to achieve your goals.

This program will prepare learners to apply for project management jobs at a introductory level. You do not need any previous experience. This course will prepare you to: - Describe the Agile project management philosophy and approach, including its values and principles. - Describe the Scrum pillars and how they support Scrum's values. - Compare and identify the key roles of a Scrum team, and what makes them successful. - Create and manage a Product backlog, and perform Backlog refinement. - This section will describe the five most important Scrum events, and how to organize each one for a Scrum team. - Create a value roadmap and implement Agile's value-driven delivery strategy. - Explain how to coach and assist an Agile team. - Perform a job search to find an Agile position and learn how you can succeed in interviews.
