Course Description

Every day, employees are exposed to negotiation at every level and position. Participants will learn about current strategies and tactics for negotiation, how negotiation is done, and what negotiation looks like. They also explore the types of negotiation relationships available, from win-win negotiations to hard bargaining, to partnerships, and personal relationships. This course examines the personal and behavioral characteristics that make a good negotiator. Participants will discuss the effects of power, authority, and empowerment on negotiation outcomes and processes. The discussion will discuss how important it is for participants to prepare and plan for negotiation sessions.
