Banaras Hindu University, or BHU, was eminent in 1916 by the HRD Ministry of the Government of India. It was also called The Central Hindu College or Institute of national importance. The university has 6 institutes and 14 faculties (streams). The institutes are administratively autonomous, with their budget, management, and academic bodies.
The Banaras Hindu University offers 300+ courses in total at various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.
BHU has been accredited with a grade "A" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The Institute has also arrived at the top. It has been ranked 3rd by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the University category for 2020. BHU also ranked 10th in the overall classification and 36 in the management category of the NIRF ranking.
Alumni and faculty of BHU have gained prominence in India and across the world. Among BHU's administrators was Sarvepalli RadhakrishNULL, who went on to become the President of India. Other famous administrators include Sunder Lal, K. L. Shrimali, Moti Lal Dhar.
Every year more than 25+ companies visit the BHU campus for the placement drive of the MBA. BHU has become a favorite among the top recruiters of this year, such as Genpact, Infosys, IBM, L&T, Wipro to hire some of the most intelligent students pursuing management with the highest package offered BHU students was 16 LPA in the year 2020. One hundred twenty-six students of BHU received almost 140 offers.
