KJ Somaiya Institute of Management is a private autonomous college established in the year 1981 as a part of Somaiya Vidyavihar to impart state-of-the-art education in management and allied fields. In 2019, the K J Somaiya Institute of Management became a constituent institute under Somaiya Vidyavihar University, formed in August 2019. The college is affiliated to Somaiya Vidyavihar University which is a Private University and has been formed vide Gazette Notification No.SFU2013/C.R.200/Uni.-4 dated 26th August 2019 by Higher and Technical Department of Maharashtra.
