Commodities Fundamentals

This course will provide an in-depth look at commodities trading in capital markets. We will discuss the main features of commodities, and then go over the major categories of commodities with their key drivers. We will then explore the trading of commodities in derivatives markets, using options and futures. Common commodity trading strategies will be discussed, including hedging, cash-and-carry arbitrage trading, monthly rollover, and hedging. We will also discuss commodity spread trading strategies like intramarket spreads and intermarket spreads.
