Course Description

This specialization covers all aspects of strategic financial management including investments and financial accounting. This Specialization will teach you how to evaluate investment and corporate decisions, as well as how to view capital markets and institutions from an economic perspective. You will also learn how to create a framework for financial management that is value-based and help you make financial decisions. The University of Illinois iMBA Program includes the Financial Management Specialization. This Specialization fulfills part of the University of Illinois requirements that may earn you college credit. The Financial Management Specialization will give you a solid foundation for developing a framework that supports strategic financial decision-making. You will have a solid understanding of financial statements and all financial information. Also, you will be able to critically analyze and analyze cash flow statements. Understanding portfolio management and valuation techniques is key. Learn how to include uncertainty and risk in investment decisions, and how companies finance and invest.
