Course Description

This course, Nondestructive Targeting of MOCAP Animations in Maya, is designed to assist animators as well as generalists who wish to have their characters drive by MOCAP in a straightforward and efficient manner. You will first learn how to evaluate your custom character rig using a MOCAP targeting perspective. Next, you'll learn how to set Maya's Human IK system up to communicate with your custom rig. In just a few steps, you'll learn how to import any MOCAP bipedal animation clip and apply it to your character. You will also learn how to speed up animation without having to have technical knowledge. This is especially important for those working in pipelines that do not support MOCAP. It will help you increase your production of realistic character animation. This course will teach you how to drive any bipedal custom-rig using motion capture data. It relies only on Maya's native tool and Human IK. Software Required: Maya 2016.
