Course Description

The world is moving faster online than ever before, and there are a variety of socio-technical, global factors that have accelerated the shift towards digital first for a wide range of economic and social functions.

Although UX designers are in high demand, there is still a shortage of UX designers in the US, Australia and UK.

How can you design UX for web, mobile, and other digital products that are becoming increasingly important to the success of a company?

This UX design course, which is self-paced, will give you all the information you need to start your career as a digital designer.

This course will help you understand the UX design philosophy that every digital designer follows. This course will teach you how to minimize a user's cognitive burden (or effort expended during a task) as well as decision-making time. You'll also learn why users may stop looking at websites or digital products if they take up too much time.

Learn about key principles like hierarchy and information architecture and how to place the user at the forefront of every design decision.

What is the difference between UX design and UI design? It's important to know the difference between UX and UI design as more UX designers are being required to demonstrate UI (user interface), design expertise.

The user interface design is both visual design (how the product looks, feels and personalities) and interaction design (how the user interacts with it). In the larger-picture UX world, you'll see how micro elements of UI fit into the bigger picture.
