Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT Jalandhar)

The Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was founded in 1987 as a Regional Engineering College. It was granted the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University), by the Government of India on Oct 17, 2002, under the auspices of Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), New Delhi. The Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), Government of India, has designated the Institute as an "Institute of National Importance" pursuant to the act of Parliament-2007. Numerous reputed industrial houses visit the Institution to select the final-year students for their positions as Engineers/Management Trainees. The Institute is one of the National Institutes of Technology. It has the responsibility of providing high-quality education in Engineering, Technology and Sciences. This will help to create skilled technical and scientific personnel for the country. The Institute offers BTech, MSc, MBA, and PhD programs in Engineering, Technology, and Sciences.
