The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health (UTHealth) works every day to improve public health in Texas. It has six campuses. Each campus is strategically located to serve the diverse needs of Texas' public health research and education communities. The only national school of public health, UTHealth School of Public Health, has regional campuses.
The School of Public Health's main campus is located in Houston's Texas Medical Center. It offers unparalleled opportunities for employment and research. Five regional campuses of the School of Public Health are located in Austin, Brownville Dallas, El Paso, El Paso, San Antonio, and El Paso. Each campus has its own faculty, research areas and staff. Interactive Television (ITV), is also available for students of the School of Public Health.
The UTHealth School of Public Health, one of six schools of UTHealth is the largest academic health system in The University of Texas System or the U.S. Gulf Coast region. UTHealth also houses schools of medicine, nursing, biomedical informatics and biomedical sciences. It includes a psychiatric Hospital, several institutes and centres, and a growing network clinics and outreach programs for education and care in the region.
The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), and the School of Public Health are both accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.
The School of Public Health's mission is to improve and sustain people's health by providing high quality graduate education, research, community service, and community service in Texas, the United States, and around the globe. It also provides quality graduate education in basic disciplines and practices of health. It also helps public health practitioners solve public health problems locally, nationally, or internationally.
