What is the use of an AWS Sandbox Environment?

An AWS Sandbox Environment provisions isolated, contained environment that help Infrastructure, Development and Security Team to securely evaluate, explore, and build POCs using AWS services and third-party applications that are allowed in the environment.

How do I launch AWS Cloud Sandbox and login to AWS Console?

Accepted Answer

Click on the Create Sandbox Environment button and wait till the create process completes.
Now click on the Open Console button to redirect to AWS Management Console. Use the IAM Username and Password to login to AWS Sandbox account. (Please don't edit/remove the Account ID loaded in the login page)
We are providing both Console and Programmatic (CLI / SDK) credentials.

Question 3

Will Whizlabs take care of Deleting Cloud Services created by Users?

We always encourages our user’s to delete all the AWS resources that they have created. It is important to learn the services dependency that AWS has while deleting resources.
In case any service is not deleted, Whizlabs will automatically delete all services once the Sandbox Lifetime has expired.

How many AWS Sandboxes can be run at a given time?

You can only launch one AWS Sandbox at any given time.

How do i get access to Cloud Sandbox?

First subscribe to Whizlabs new Monthly Plus or Yearly Plus Subscription for Sandboxes access. (For more details please contact Whizlabs Support Team)
Once subscribed, go to Sandbox page and launch an environment.

What happens with the data?

AWS Sandbox Lifetime - Min : 1 Hour and Max : 9 Hours.
All the data will be permanently deleted once the Sandbox lifetime expires and cannot be undone.

What do you mean by Cloud Sandbox Abuse?

Accepted Answer

Cloud Sandbox is given for educational purposes.
Whizlabs actively monitor Cloud Sandbox for abuse of Cloud resources. Users are also monitored for prohibited or bad behaviour.
The main purpose of abuse detection system is to ensure compliance with Whizlabs Terms of Use agreed upon at sign up.
Any user who tries to perform Sandbox abuse will be permanently blocked.

I am stuck in the middle of a session, what should I do to get out of it?

You just need to destroy the environment using ‘End Lab’, and start another session using ‘Start Lab’.

What is the duration for using a particular session in Sandbox?

You can use our Sandbox for any length that you want, but the session gets automatically destroyed after 3 hours, given that it stays in an inactive state for that duration.

Are there additional charges for using services in the Sandbox?

Accepted Answer

There are no additional charges for using the services that you have paid for. For any other services that are included in your program but not in the purchased services, you can contact our team and get it added to your account at an extra charge.

If you have just started learning AWS, you can opt for specific courses and their labs on Hands-on-labsusing filters, wherein guided labs are there to help you with practice as well as learning. You can also use sandbox for trying and testing the concepts that you know already and play around with any new ideas that click your mind.
