Course Description

This course provides a brief overview of XenDeskop's other provisioning solution. Provisioning Services is an optional technology that allows you to create new Windows instances. It can be used in conjunction with Machine Creation Services, which was described in the previous course. Provisioning Services streams down an operating system using a network-based virtual drive store. These Provisioning Services virtual disks are the basis for every new machine. These Provisioning Services vDisks, together with PVS's streaming infrastructure make it easy to create a new OS instance. In this fourth course, Citrix XenDesktop 7 LTSR: Provisioning Services you will explore the unique architecture of Provisioning Services. You'll first learn about the streaming technology. Next, you will install and configure the highly-available PVS infrastructure. Next, you will learn about the various approaches to managing target device write cache and build a series vDisks ready for deployment. This course will equip you with the knowledge to choose which of XenDesktop's two options you prefer for provisioning virtual machines.
