Course Description

The Data Mining Specialization covers both structured data that conforms to a defined schema and unstructured data that exists in the form natural language text. The course topics include data visualization, pattern discovery, clustering and text retrieval. The Capstone project is to solve real-world problems in data mining using Yelp's restaurant review data. This Specialization forms the lecture component of the online Master of Computer Science Degree (Data Science) courses 2-5. The degree program can be applied to either before or after the Specialization.
