Course Description

Many industries are looking for the skills and expertise needed to make a career as a finance professional. The number of career options for qualified financial professionals is growing and evolving, from asset management to corporate finance to official institutions. According to Source, the demand for financial analysts will grow at a faster rate than the average 11% growth rate through 2026. Glassdoor also reported that the median income for a quantitative analyst was $106,575. (Source)

The MITx MicroMasters® Program in Finance provides opportunities for recent graduates, mid-stage professionals and others interested in pursuing a career in financial services. It offers the opportunity to accelerate your MIT Sloan Master of Finance or advance in the field of finance through a rigorous online curriculum delivered by the MIT Sloan School of Management.

The five online courses are based on the STEM-based curriculum on campus. They mirror the on-campus graduate-level MIT coursework. The MicroMasters certificate in finance may be earned by learners who successfully complete each course. Affiliate members of the MIT Alumni Association are also available to those who pass all courses in the online program. These learners can apply for the MIT Sloan Master of Finance. Once accepted, they will be able to earn credit for their online work.
