Course Description

The IBM Professional Certificate consists of eight courses that prepare you for a job as a data analyst. You can be competitive and get a job as a data analyst in a growing market. Or, you can use your foundational data skills to solve problems in an ever-data-driven professional environment. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there will be a 20% increase in data analytics industry growth until 2028.

The core principles of data analysis will be taught, along with hands-on practice. This will allow you to make better business decisions for companies. You will be able to work with many data sources and project scenarios. These online courses will give you hands-on experience in data manipulation and the application and visualization of data.

The Professional Certificate is open to all learners, regardless of their college degree. It does not require programming or statistical skills. This course requires basic computer literacy, comfort with math and willingness to learn.

The IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate will give you the confidence to start a career as an associate/junior data analyst. You'll also learn the skills that are essential for professionals working in many industries and job functions to solve business problems.

Create charts and plots in Excel, and work with IBM Cognos Analytics to build dashboards

Describe the data ecosystem and Compose queries to access data in cloud databases using SQL and Python from Jupyter notebooks

Develop a working knowledge of Python language to analyze data using Python libraries like Pandas and Numpy, and invoke APIs and Web Services

Perform data analysis tasks like data mining and data wrangling using Excel spreadsheets and Jupyter Notebooks

Visualize data using Python libraires like Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Folium
