Amity University Mumbai was established under the Maharashtra Govt. Act of 2014 of Government of Maharashtra and recognised by the UGC Act as per section 2(f) with the right to confer degrees. The university is spread over a campus of 30 acres with a total number of students enrollment of 3,608. The total faculty member present at the university is 179. Amity University Mumbai offers a variety of courses in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral streams. Amity University has three schools affiliated to it- Amity Global Business School, Mumbai; Amity Global Business School, Pune and Amity Law School, Mumbai. The institute provides scholarships and facilitates placement opportunities to all its students.

The university is approximately 16 kms away from Navi Mumbai International Airport and students can easily reach the university by hiring a cab/ auto from the airport. The nearest railway station to the campus is Panvel Junction at a distance of 11 kms. Aspiring students can easily reach the campus from Panvel Junction by an auto or a taxi.
