Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra is deemed to be university established in 1955. It is also known as BIT Mesra. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). BIT Mesra ranked 46th under the engineering category and 70th under the management category of the NIRF 2021 Ranking. The university has secured 14th rank in the architecture category in NIRF 2021 Ranking. As per the NIRF ranking 2020, for the overall category, the varsity was ranked 13th in the architecture category and 86th in the university category. The institute has been ranked 26th in the NIRF Rankings 2021 in the pharmacy category.
